After completing his secondary education, Raymond pursued higher learning at Algonquin College, where he earned diplomas in both Business Management & Entrepreneurship and Project Management. Equipped with a solid foundation in business and project execution, he ventured into the realm of higher education, enrolling at Carleton University to pursue a degree in legal studies.

 

During his time at Carleton, Raymond's passion for his Indigenous roots and desire to promote cultural pride led him to establish Eeyou Istchee Lifestyle, a clothing brand that celebrates and embodies the essence of Indigenous identity. What began as a creative endeavor soon blossomed into a thriving business, allowing Raymond to channel his entrepreneurial spirit into a venture that resonated deeply with his identity.

 

In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Raymond co-founded Eeyoupreneur, a consulting firm dedicated to supporting Indigenous startups, fostering business growth, and empowering organizations within Indigenous communities. Through Eeyoupreneur, Raymond and his team provide invaluable guidance, resources, and mentorship to aspiring Indigenous entrepreneurs, helping them navigate the complexities in business.

 

Raymond's dedication to serving his community extends beyond the realm of business. He is actively involved in politics, serving as the youngest councillor in his community and representing Waskaganish in the Cree Nation Government. 

 

Furthermore, Raymond is in the process of starting up new ventures within his community, further demonstrating his commitment to fostering economic growth, innovation, and self-sufficiency among his people.
